Who is Stuart A. McIntosh?

Stuart A. McIntosh was born in Saudi Arabia to parents stationed there with the Royal Air Force. They returned to the United Kingdom, but Stuart's father died shortly before Stuart's sixth birthday, which ultimately led to him being educated at a boarding school in the Midlands.

Stuart became a Police Officer in the North West and, after thirty years’ service, worked for the local council and the Home Office in investigator roles. During this time Stuart obtained a Masters Degree connected to law enforcement. It is this upbringing that colours his poems that have been published in several books throughout his adulthood.

Stuart was also a keen sportsman in his younger day and his associations with local amateur sports clubs led him to compile two histories of a local amateur Rugby League Club and create a history of a local amateur Cricket Club. He has also edited and contributed to other publications. Stuart is also a keen genealogist and has written two volumes of his McIntosh heritage that have been published.

Stuart's books have been published by Blindeye Publications with who he has had an association spanning more than four decades. More recently several musical artists have used Stuart's poems as lyrics for songs and allowed Stuart to develop this aspect of his creative writing establishing a relationship with Music Promotion company, Amusia Music.
