Fellow Authors' Perspectives
"'In Yer Face, Adversity' is Stuart’s sixth collection of poems composed over two decades from 1980-2000. It also contains a small selection of works that previously appeared in a 2001 anthology My Travels With Professor Higgins By A Lazy Doolittle, which is currently out of print. The pen and poetic thoughts were not put out of reach and this collection gathered together new poems written in the two decades up to the infamous Coronavirus pandemic and published by Blindeye Publications."

One Arabian Night
"One Arabian Night is Stuart’s third collection of poems following on from The Well, The Key & The Pen and View Other Side. In the decade that had past between the publishing of the first two book and this latest one in 1997 life, work, marriage and children had shaped Stuart’s writing but his observations, word play, love of a good (or bad) pun and humour continue. This latest edition was re-printed in 2020."

View Other Side
"Following the positive reception of his first collection of poems, The Well, The Key & The Pen, Stuart was encouraged to produce a second, slim collection of additional works. Predominately written in 1987 with a couple of earlier, previously unpublished poems, this second collection, View Other Side was first printed in 1987. The themes reflect Stuart’s observations of life at that time often with his customary humour and acerbic wit. This latest edition printed in 2020 sees a couple of reworkings but, by and large, it remains the musings of a man in his mid-twenties in the mid-eighties."

The Well, The Key & The Pen
"The Well, The Key & The Pen is the collection of poems written by Stuart A. McIntosh between 1981 and 1987, tackling themes of growing up, adolescence angst, early dalliances into romance, historical fact and fable often using word play, puns and humour. It was initially printed in 1983 and contained 37 poems. It was revised in 1987 and expanded to 75 poems. This latest edition printed in 2020 has seen the poet revisit the collection and, where he felt necessary, Stuart has “tweaked, tinkered with and… reworked” some. They are still true to the thoughts of a young man witnessing and experiencing life from his late teen years to his mid-twenties, albeit now presented by a man considerably older, if not wiser."
